1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using the UUP portal, you agree to use it in accordance with these Terms of Use and applicable law. If you do not agree, you should not submit information or use restricted portal functions.
2. Purpose of the portal
The portal provides official UUP information and digital services such as membership registration, announcements, news, events, projects, contributions and authorized administrative functions. UUP may add, change or remove features as the portal evolves.
3. Accurate information
Where you submit information, you agree to provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge and not to impersonate another person, create deliberately false membership records or submit misleading transaction information.
4. Membership registration
Submitting a membership form creates a digital membership record but does not override any eligibility, verification, disciplinary or membership rules formally adopted by UUP. The party may review, correct, suspend or otherwise manage a membership record in accordance with its approved procedures.
5. Contributions and payments
A payment request is not considered complete until the payment provider confirms the transaction. You are responsible for confirming the amount and phone number before approving an M-PESA prompt. UUP may reconcile or investigate duplicate, failed, reversed or disputed transactions.
6. Official information
UUP aims to keep portal information accurate and current, but event details, projects, leadership information and announcements may change. Where a matter is time-sensitive, users should confirm the latest official notice.
7. Acceptable use
You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access, interfere with portal availability, introduce malicious code, scrape restricted personal information, manipulate records, bypass security controls, overload the service or use the portal for unlawful activity.
8. Administrative accounts
Administration accounts are for authorized users only. Account holders are responsible for protecting their credentials and should not share passwords. Administrative actions may be recorded in audit logs for accountability and security.
